Corps Organizations
From Skipper Crew to the Historian Staff, more than two dozens Corps organizations enrich the cadet experience through camaraderie and opportunities for professional growth. These organizations are important pieces of the Corps life, providing valuable services and activities for cadets and alumni, as well as upholding and protecting Corps and ROTC traditions.
How to Join a Corps Organization
Cadets are not normally permitted to join any student or cadet organizations during their first semester in the Corps. The only exceptions are participation in religious services, intercollegiate athletics, or joining the VTCC Cyber Team.
During their second semester, first-year cadets who have a 2.5 or higher GPA are permitted to join one Corps , ROTC, or non-social/service university organization.
All other cadets with a 2.0 or higher GPA are permitted to join any university or Corps organizations after their first year.
