Our Mission

The mission of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at Virginia Tech is to attract, recruit, and enroll a highly qualified, talented, and diverse student body in a manner that supports the university's well-being.

Each year, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions reviews over 45,000 applications. Application review is a partnership across the campus community, with essay questions being reviewed by dozens of Virginia Tech employees trained by admissions staff. Full application review by admissions professionals is added to this essay rating.
